So small........ So sweet....... So soon........ God saw him getting tired A cure was not to be So he put his arms around him And whispered "Come with me. " With tearful eyes we watched him slowly fade away Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay . A precious heart stopped beating His little body now can rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best . Our arms still ache to hold him And secret tears still flow What it meant to lose him No one will ever know. We hold him close within our hearts And there he will remain To walk with us throughout our lives Until we meet again. Our family chain is broken now And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.
